About Us

Bergen County Computer Consultants was founded in 1995 by Vernon Webb. Vernon, after years of employment in the consulting field, had identified a need to bring higher quality, cost effective Internet capabilities to small and medium-sized businesses.

To accomplish this task, we utilize free, open source software (known as FOSS) whenever possible. Bergen County Computer Consultants primarily develops websites, e-commerce systems and custom databases, as well as addressing computer systems and networking needs of our clients.

Vernon holds a B.A. in science, with a business concentration and possesses nearly 20 years of experience in the computer industry working as a web programmer/developer/consultant. During this time, he spent as many years as a consultant working for small to medium-sized consulting companies. Past responsibilities have included:

• computer repair;
• project management;
• evaluation of technologies and equipment;
• database design and implementation;
• web site design and programmer;
• network planning and administration;
• photographer;
• system administration
